Flowertown Bed and Breakfast was built in 1889, and former innkeepers Veronique & Greg Elam opened Flowertown Bed & Breakfast in April 1997 after 4 years of interior and exterior renovations. In late 2018, Chris and Carol Grant, who have operated a BNB previously in Champaign, Illinois, purchased Flowertown Bed & Breakfast.

This house is beautiful and in such a great location! We really enjoyed how walkable it was to downtown to grab a bite to eat and sit in the park. The porches (there’s one on the front and back) are huge and a great place to relax — the swing on the back porch was a personal favorite. This is a unique stay and one you shouldn’t pass up if you’re staying in Summerville. Carol was great with communication and so welcoming!

I can’t say enough about Flowertown Bed and Breakfast’s hospitality. I recently had two colleagues stay at the B&B and they were blown away… I, too, was blown away by the experience. From handwritten welcome notes to a spectacular breakfast, super comfy beds, gorgeous porches, and extensive gardens, the experience was exceptional. This beautiful historical home is like stepping back in time (with amenities) and feeling at home. Carol has the gift of hospitality and her food is delicious. The location is convenient to downtown Summerville and an easy drive into Charleston. Everything was spotless and exactly as represented and Carol had warm stories to share about the house and the beautiful items in it.

From the moment I contacted Carol concerning her lovely Victorian she was incredibly quick to respond. We absolutely loved the Victorian B&B, it was like a walk back in time. Absolutely comfortable, spotlessly clean!!! The decor was wonderful and I absolutely loved all the little touches. It's just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of everything. We are looking forward to another getaway at Carol's B&B.
