Experience the Charm of Flowertown in the Pines
The home of what is now the Flowertown Bed & Breakfast was built by Civil War veteran Benjamin Greig in 1889, shortly after the earthquake in Charleston. This gracious Southern belle was home to several families in Summerville’s historic district until April 1997, when it opened as a successful bed-and-breakfast.
After two and a half years of searching high and low for the perfect bed-and-breakfast to call their own, Chris and Carol Grant fell in love with the warmth, grandeur, and charm of Historic Downtown Summerville and purchased the Flowertown Bed & Breakfast in late 2018.
Stay with us, and you will be transported to another era, surrounded by a Victorian elegance that will relax your mind and soothe your soul. Experience Southern hospitality that will keep you coming back again and again.
We love having Flowertown bnb as part of our (Thanksgiving ) family tradition.
The Flowertown B&B was so charming. As a constant traveler, it was one of the nicest B&Bs I have visited. The proprietors were hospitable and the breakfasts were delicious. Right off the Main Street, it was convenient for our girls week around Charleston and Savannah. We stayed in the room with a queen bed and daybed and it was comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again and again.
Amazing Stay! + Everything!
Our stay was cut short because of personal circumstances, unfortunately. However, the B&B was beautiful, the room was comfortable and spacious and the breakfast was delicious! Carol responded to my texts quickly and kindly. Hope to do a repeat soon!!
Our visit to your inn was the highlight of my trip home to New England. Everything was just exquisite including the grounds and beautifully decorated inside. We hope to come again.
This house is beautiful and in such a great location! We really enjoyed how walkable it was to downtown to grab a bite to eat and sit in the park. The porches (there’s one on the front and back) are huge and a great place to relax — the swing on the back porch was a personal favorite. This is a unique stay and one you shouldn’t pass up if you’re staying in Summerville. Carol was great with communication and so welcoming!
I can’t say enough about Flowertown Bed and Breakfast’s hospitality. I recently had two colleagues stay at the B&B and they were blown away… I, too, was blown away by the experience. From handwritten welcome notes to a spectacular breakfast, super comfy beds, gorgeous porches, and extensive gardens, the experience was exceptional. The two colleagues that stayed are not easily impressed, and they loved their stay! I highly recommend Flowertown Bed and Breakfast-5 STARS!!!
This beautiful historical home is like stepping back in time (with amenities) and feeling at home. Carol has the gift of hospitality and her food is delicious. The location is convenient to downtown Summerville and an easy drive into Charleston. Everything was spotless and exactly as represented and Carol had warm stories to share about the house and the beautiful items in it.
From the moment I contacted Carol concerning her lovely Victorian she was incredibly quick to respond. We absolutely loved the Victorian B&B, it was like a walk back in time. Absolutely comfortable, spotlessly clean!!! The decor was wonderful and I absolutely loved all the little touches. It's just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of everything. We are looking forward to another getaway at Carol's B&B.
