Come support the 5th Annual Ugly Sweater 5k Dash (and walk)
And help raise funds for local families living with Alzheimer’s and dementia
Did you know that you could win the Ugliest Sweater Contest just for wearing your ugliest sweater?
ARK, Alzheimer’s Family Support services is sponsoring the 5th Annual Ugly Sweater 5K Dash (or walk) on December 3rd in Flowertown?
This now annual event was started by ARK 5 years ago in response to caregivers and their loved ones needing support, respite, memory screenings, and Early Memory Loss/Navigation Club.
We love to support local fund raisers and we always love to see who wins the Ugly Sweater contest but this year, we’d love it if you joined us in the fun.
You don’t have to be fit to run, you can walk and talk, and enjoy the atmosphere while supporting a great cause.
Runners and walkers are invited to don their “Ugliest Sweater” and participate in either the 5K run/walk ($25) or the one-mile stroll ($10). While you may not win an award for your physical effort, chances are you could take home the trophy for the “Ugliest Sweater.”
When you combine this activity with a stay with us, the next day, December 4th , you’ll start your day with a spectacular Flowertown Bed and Breakfast gourmet breakfast; remember that calories don’t count at a Bed and Breakfast 🙂
Then, treat your senses to the magic of Handel’s Messiah at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. One of the most beautiful oratorios ever, this choral music will soothe your senses and feed your soul during this busy holiday season. You don’t have to be a music aficionado to lose yourself in this heavenly music.
Come spend time with us to relax, renew and revitalize just in time for the Holidays.
And if you book with us before November 12 at 12pm EST, you’ll also enjoy our delicious Hot Chocolate and Cookie treat on arrival. Arrive in your room and find a wide array of Carol’s Christmas Cookie favorites. You will also be treated to Flowertown’s Signature Hot Cocoa so click on the link below to see all the details.
